Die amerikanische Singer-Songwriterin Bet Williams verzaubert ihr Publikum immer wieder aufs Neue: Ihr Gesang ist farbig und dynamisch, ihre stimmungsvollen Lieder changieren zwischen erdigem Folk, Rock, Pop und Blues. Es sind ergreifende Songs von einer charismatischen Frau, die etwas zu erzählen hat: Bet Williams’ Lieder leben nicht nur von ihren wunderschönen Melodien, der außergewöhnlichen 4-Oktaven-Stimmen und dem groovigen Gitarrenspiel – sondern auch von ihrem Geschichten und ihrem Witz.
Geboren in New York, verbrachte Bet Williams ihre Kindheit und Jugend in Deutschland und Amerika und wuchs dabei mit einer eigenwilligen Mischung aus Musik, Theater, Reisen und Wissenschaft auf. Nach der High School studierte sie klassische Musik, Gesang, Theater und englische Literatur. Anschließend, Anfang der 90-er Jahre, brach sie mit ihrer ersten Kassette im Gepäck auf in die Welt.
Mit ihrer authentischen, natürlichen Art und ihrem Humor erschafft Bet Williams bei ihren Konzerten eine magische Verbindung zum Publikum. Lebendig in der Mimik und gefühlvoll im Ausdruck lotst sie ihre Zuhörer durch die ganze Palette menschlicher Gefühle. Dabei wird sie von Marc Gransten am Bass und Kenny Martin (DEFUNKT) am Schlagzeug gefühlvoll unterstützt.
